Jennavieve's new arrival

On the 25th July, 2008 in Hermantown, Minnesota, Gary Gilbert heard the cyottes howling overnight.

Jennavieve after calving

As Jennavieve was due to calve in the next week, he moved her into the shed that morning before work. In the afternoon she calved safely and had a bull calf, now named

Ausmerica Uluru

Gary was surprised how lively he was and how quickly he suckled his Mum.

As his sire and dam are both GeneStar Marbling 5 Lowlines, tail hair was collected from the calf (something Gary hated doing) and Uluru was tested.

His results are -

  Tenderness           Marbling              Feed Efficiency

We think he might be the only

16 Star

Lowline Bull.
